Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 22, 2026

Privacy-first by design: PetalCare does not require an account and does not sync your cycle history, private assistant conversations, or health records to a PetalCare cloud. They stay on your device unless you choose to share or export them.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how PetalCare ("we," "our," or "the App") handles information when you use the app.

PetalCare is built to keep sensitive cycle and symptom data under your control. We minimize network use and keep core health records local to your device.

2. Information We Process

PetalCare primarily stores and processes data locally on your device, including:

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run our own cloud database for your cycle history.

3. Data We Do Not Collect for Ourselves

We do not intentionally collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, advertising identifiers, precise location, or the content of your cycle logs for our own servers.

We also do not use analytics SDKs, ad networks, or social login providers inside PetalCare.

4. When Network Access May Occur

PetalCare is not a cloud-sync app, but limited network access may occur for the following optional flows:

Purchase checks do not upload your cycle history, symptom notes, or imported health samples to a PetalCare cloud. A model-distribution provider may receive standard download-request information, such as your IP address, device/network information, and requested file, under that provider's own privacy practices. Your assistant conversations and health records are not sent with those download requests.

5. On-Device Private Assistant and Insights

On supported iOS devices, you may choose to download or import an offline assistant package. The private assistant processes your messages and generates responses on your device. PetalCare does not send those conversations to our servers or to an external AI service for generation.

When you ask for a local cycle insight, the app may provide relevant records you selected or recorded in the app, such as cycle dates, flow, symptoms, mood, and notes, to the on-device assistant. This analysis remains on your device. The assistant provides general informational support only and is not a diagnosis, prescription, emergency service, or substitute for a clinician.

6. Apple Health and Health Connect

PetalCare offers optional Apple Health and Health Connect integrations. If you explicitly enable these permissions, the app may read supported health signals such as resting heart rate, body temperature, sleep, steps, and related historical samples to improve local insights and reports.

On supported Apple devices, health access is used for optional import of supported signals into PetalCare's local experience and reports.

Imported health samples remain on your device unless you later export or share them yourself.

7. Security and Local Storage

PetalCare uses device-level and app-level protections to reduce unauthorized access, including:

No security measure is perfect, but we designed the app to avoid unnecessary external transmission of sensitive health information.

8. Backups, Exports, and Reports

If you use PetalCare's export or backup features:

9. Photo Library and Device Permissions

On iOS, PetalCare may request photo library access so you can save exported reports or charts. Biometric permission is requested only if you enable biometric lock. Health permissions are optional and can be revoked in your system settings.

10. In-App Purchases and Service Providers

Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your platform. We use RevenueCat to help validate purchases and restore premium access.

RevenueCat and app store operators may process limited transaction-related data such as anonymous device identifiers, purchase receipts, app version, and platform information. They do not receive your cycle notes, symptom history, or locally stored reports from us.

You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy here: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

11. Retention and Deletion

Your records, local assistant conversations, and downloaded assistant packages remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, uninstall the app, or overwrite them during a restore. If you created exported files or backups outside the app, you are responsible for managing or deleting those copies.

12. Children's Privacy

PetalCare is not directed to children under the minimum age allowed by applicable app store rules in your region. If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, contact us and we will review the situation. In normal use, PetalCare does not require account registration or direct submission of personal information to us.

13. International Use

Because core health data stays on your device, PetalCare does not routinely transfer your cycle history internationally through our own servers. Purchase validation providers may process transaction metadata according to their own global infrastructure and legal obligations.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last Updated" date.
