Technical Support

Help for PetalCare, your privacy-first cycle and symptom tracker.

Quick note: Cycle records, settings, encrypted backups, and imported health samples stay on your device. Purchase, restore, and premium verification flows may require a network connection.

Getting Started

  1. Install PetalCare on a supported iPhone or Android device.
  2. Open the app and add your first cycle entry.
  3. Optionally configure reminders, privacy lock features, or health integrations.
  4. If you purchase Pro, use the in-app purchase or restore flow on the same store account.

Common Topics

How private is PetalCare?

Your cycle logs, symptoms, notes, settings, encrypted backups, and imported health samples are designed to remain on your device. PetalCare does not require an account or sync your health data to a PetalCare cloud.

Why does the app ask for Health permissions?

Apple Health and Health Connect are optional. If you enable them, PetalCare can import supported health signals such as sleep, steps, resting heart rate, or body temperature to improve local insights and reports.

Why does the app ask for photo access on iPhone?

Photo access is used so you can save exported charts or PDF-derived visuals to your photo library. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings.

How do I export or back up my data?

Use the export or backup options inside the app settings. PetalCare can generate local reports and encrypted backup files. Keep your backup password safe, because support cannot recover it for you.

Can I restore an encrypted backup?

Yes. Use the restore flow in the app and provide the correct backup password. If the password is incorrect or the file is damaged, the restore will fail.

How do purchases and restore work?

PetalCare Pro purchase, restore, and entitlement verification use App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat infrastructure. Make sure you are signed in with the same store account used for the original purchase.

Does the app support cloud sync across devices?

No dedicated PetalCare cloud sync is provided for cycle history. If you need to move information between devices, use your own export or backup workflow carefully.

Troubleshooting

Health import is not working

  1. Open system settings and confirm Health permissions are granted to PetalCare.
  2. Check that the relevant data types exist in Apple Health or Health Connect.
  3. Reopen PetalCare and try the import again.

Biometric lock or passcode issues

  1. Confirm device biometrics are enrolled in your operating system.
  2. Disable and re-enable biometric lock from PetalCare settings.
  3. If you forgot your backup password or app passcode, support may not be able to recover it.

Purchase restore failed

  1. Verify you are using the same Apple ID or Google account used for purchase.
  2. Check that your device has internet access.
  3. Retry the restore flow from inside the app.

Export or backup failed

  1. Make sure your device has available storage.
  2. Confirm you entered the intended backup password correctly.
  3. Try generating the export again after restarting the app.
