1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PetalCare, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of the Service

PetalCare is a privacy-first cycle and symptom tracking app. Depending on your device and version, the app may include:

Cycle tracking, symptom logging, notes, and predictions
Optional import from Apple Health or Health Connect
Encrypted local storage and encrypted backups
Clinician-ready reports and local export tools
Privacy features such as passcode lock, biometric lock, camouflage mode, and panic/quick-lock functions
On supported iOS devices, an optional on-device private assistant and local cycle insights after you download or import an offline assistant package
Optional premium features made available through PetalCare Pro

3. Medical Disclaimer

PetalCare is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional care.

The app is intended for informational and self-tracking purposes only
Predictions and insights are estimates and may be inaccurate
The app should not be relied on as contraception or for diagnosis
Private assistant responses and local insights are general information, not medical advice, diagnosis, prescriptions, or emergency guidance
You should consult a qualified clinician for medical questions or treatment decisions

4. On-Device Private Assistant and Insights

The private assistant is optional and available only on supported devices and app versions. If you download or import an assistant package, messages and local insight inputs are processed on your device. You are responsible for deciding what information to enter, reviewing outputs critically, and seeking professional or emergency help when appropriate.

Assistant packages may be downloaded from third-party distribution providers. Those providers may apply their own terms and privacy practices to the download. We may verify package integrity before installation, but do not guarantee a package's suitability for any medical, clinical, or other particular purpose.

5. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use PetalCare for personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and applicable app store rules.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where allowed by law
Use the app for unlawful, abusive, or unauthorized purposes
Interfere with purchase, entitlement, or permission flows
Misrepresent exported reports as medical diagnosis or clinical advice
Use the private assistant or local insights for emergency triage, diagnosis, prescriptions, or time-sensitive treatment decisions
Redistribute or resell the app except as expressly permitted

7. Purchases and Premium Access

PetalCare may offer paid premium access. Pricing, feature scope, and availability are shown in the relevant app store at the time of purchase and may vary by platform or region.

7.1 Billing

Payments are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us directly.

7.2 Validation and Restore

We may use RevenueCat and app store purchase infrastructure to validate, restore, and manage your premium entitlement.

7.3 Refunds

Refunds, if any, are governed by the policies of the app store through which you made the purchase and any mandatory law that applies to you.

8. Health Integrations and Permissions

Health integrations are optional. If you enable Apple Health or Health Connect permissions, you are responsible for reviewing the data you import and any permissions you grant or revoke in your operating system settings.

Health permissions are intended for optional import of supported signals into PetalCare's local insights and reports, and you can manage those permissions in system settings.

9. Backups, Exports, and Shared Content

You are responsible for safeguarding exported PDFs, charts, screenshots, and encrypted backup files that you create. Once you share exported material outside the app, third-party services or recipients may apply their own privacy and retention practices.

10. Privacy

Your use of PetalCare is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Core cycle data is intended to stay on your device, but commerce-related verification may use external providers as described there.

11. Availability and Changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue features of PetalCare at any time. Features may differ by platform, operating system, language, or jurisdiction.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PETALCARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR USE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF PETALCARE.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid for the app or premium access in the preceding twelve months, or USD $10, whichever is greater.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your right to use the app if you materially violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in your place of residence and, where permitted, otherwise by applicable law selected by the service provider.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
