ClearBrief Coach

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 20, 2026. This policy explains how ClearBrief Coach handles account data, practice content, voice input, and subscription-related information.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the ClearBrief Coach mobile app, related services, and support channels operated for the app.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, sign-in provider, and profile details returned by Apple or Google sign-in.
  • Practice content: your answers, drafts, feedback, scores, assessments, selected language, reminder settings, avatars, and app preferences.
  • Voice input: microphone audio is processed for speech-to-text. On Android, offline speech recognition may use bundled Vosk models on the device.
  • Purchase information: subscription status, entitlement state, plan selection, and store-managed purchase or restore records.
  • Support messages: any information you choose to send us when you contact support.
  • Technical data: app version, device model, operating system version, and troubleshooting logs you share with us.

3. How We Use Information

  • Operate sign-in, session restoration, and app settings.
  • Generate practice feedback, recommendations, and local training history.
  • Process voice input and display transcripts.
  • Manage subscriptions, restores, and entitlement checks.
  • Respond to support requests and improve reliability.

4. How We Share Information

  • Service providers: we may use Supabase for authentication or server-side features, RevenueCat for subscription management, and Vercel for hosting, deployment, and infrastructure services.
  • App stores and identity providers: Apple, Google, and the relevant app store process sign-in or purchase operations under their own policies.
  • Cloud-assisted features: if a build enables server-assisted profile or recommendation generation, selected practice data may be sent to our backend for that feature.
  • Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, security, and users.

We do not intentionally sell personal information or run behavioral advertising in the current app.

5. Local Storage and Voice Recognition

Many settings and practice records are stored locally on your device through platform storage. Android speech recognition is designed to work offline when a matching model is bundled with the app. If a model is missing, the app may show a model-related error until the correct build is installed.

6. Retention and Deletion

  • Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
  • Store-managed purchases and receipts may be retained by the app store or RevenueCat under their own retention rules.
  • If server-side account data exists, you may request deletion by contacting support.

7. Children

The app is not intended for children under 13, or under the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, unless a parent or guardian allows use and supervises it.

8. Security and International Transfers

We use a local-first design to reduce unnecessary sharing. No system is perfectly secure, and the security of your data also depends on your device, account, and backup settings. If you use a cloud-assisted feature or a third-party service, that service may process data in other countries under its own terms. Vercel-hosted pages or backend endpoints may receive technical request data such as IP address, device or browser details, request logs, and usage metadata as part of operating and securing the service.

9. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may notify users in the app where appropriate. Vercel's legal terms may also change over time; you can review Vercel's current privacy and service terms on Vercel's legal website.
